Toyota Land Cruiser, Prius and Avalon are the top 3 unkillable Japanese cars in the US. They easily drive over 390 thousand km

Toyota vehicles often top various reliability ratings, and now another one has arrived. The American edition of Hot Cars decided to compile the top 5 most reliable Japanese cars.

The data was taken from three sources:

ISeeCars – reliability ratings, which are calculated based on the analysis of more than 12 million cars;

RepairPal is a reliability rating that is based on the cost, frequency, and complexity of the actual repair;

Kelley Blue Book is an integral rating based on a large number of parameters.

As a result of studying all the ratings, Hot Cars put Toyota Land Cruiser in first place, it can easily drive 450-500 thousand km. Interestingly, the Land Cruiser is a rather rare Toyota SUV in the US, where pickup trucks or the larger Toyota Tundra model are much more popular. And since 2022, Land Cruiser is not sold at all in the US. However, it is this model that comes first.

Second place for the Prius is a reliable model that can easily travel 400 thousand km without major repairs, and also save on fuel. Prius have already proven their reliability in various taxi companies and services like Uber.

The third place belongs to the full-size sedan Toyota Avalon – it is now actively supplied to Russia through parallel imports. This model is capable of driving 395 thousand km without breakdowns.

In fourth place, the first and only “non-Toyota” is the Honda Pilot crossover. The average mileage of these SUVs before any serious problems is an impressive 380 thousand km.

Toyota is in fifth place again, and this is the Camry sedan, already well known to Russians. This car in the hybrid version is able to provide an average of 370 thousand trouble-free kilometers.
