Parallel imports of cars in Russia have grown significantly: according to Quto.ru, citing data from Avtostat info, 6,067 parallel cars were delivered to the Russian Federation last month, which is 19% more than in January.
Toyota cars are in the greatest demand: 1220 of them were imported – one fifth of the total. Land Cruiser 300 and Land Cruiser Prado are in the lead in the structure of deliveries of Japanese cars – 307 units were imported in a month. Camry sedan (152 cars) ranks second in the structure of sales of “parallel” Toyota in Russia in February (and third in absolute terms). The Mitsubishi Montero SUV (aka Pajero) is in second place in absolute terms, 161 such cars were sold in a month.
Among car brands, Russians, in addition to Toyota and Mitsubishi, also prefer BMW (502 cars were bought in February) and Hyundai (481 cars).
