Toyota Innova Crysta returns in a new avatar, will compete with Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari

New Innova Crysta Diesel: Vehicle manufacturer Toyota has relaunched its Innova Crysta in a new avatar. The company has introduced it with a new diesel engine. This new avatar of the Innova has been launched keeping in mind the new RDE norms. Toyota’s MPV car got a good response in the domestic market, which is probably the reason why the company had to relaunch it. Talking about the changes in the exterior look of this updated Toyota car, blacked-out B-pillars on its sides, electrically-folding ORVMs, wheel-arches with black cladding and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, spectacular bonnet, chrome A large trapezoidal grille surrounded by blacked out bumper with blacked-out chin and sleek headlights are seen. Whereas, its back side gets shark-fin antenna, window wiper and wrap-around taillights.

Launched with diesel engine

The Innova is available in both petrol and diesel options in the domestic market. But the new 2.4 L diesel engine has been used in the new Innova, which is capable of producing maximum power of 150Bhp and peak torque of 343Nm. While its 2.7 L petrol engine is capable of producing maximum power of 166bhp and highest torque of 245Nm, which is paired with automatic transmission. Whereas the option of 5-speed manual (MT) and 6-speed automatic (AMT) gearbox has been given with the diesel engine.

The new Innova Crysta diesel variant gets the Multi Terrain Monitor (360-degree camera), which allows the driver to have a bird’s eye view to ease parking the car or navigate through uneven terrains. Along with this, it also gets head-up display, wireless charger, air ionizer and door edge lighting with 16 colors and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console.

Toyota has launched the Innova’s diesel variant G model at Rs 19.13 lakh (ex-showroom) and its GX model at Rs 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
