The CNG mileage of when Toyota Glanza is launched can be around 25 km/kg. While the mileage of the automatic model running on petrol is 22.94 kmpl i.e. you are going to get more mileage of 2 kmpl than CNG. However, the information about when it will be launched has not been revealed yet.
Toyota Glanza CNG Variants
Toyota will offer CNG option for the Glanza in the S, G and V trims. Only the base-spec E variant will not get a CNG option. You will be able to enjoy all the features available with the hatchback in the CNG option available in the mid- and top-spec variants of the Glanza.
If the Glanza CNG is launched before the Baleno CNG, it will be India’s first premium hatchback to be offered in CNG option. The Glanza gets Toyota’s signature chrome grille, LED projector headlamps and LED derailleurs, LED fog lamps, sporty front bumper with carbon fiber texture, sleek alloy wheels, auto ORVMs with indicators, UV protect glass and LED tail lights. Interiors include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Hello Google and Hey Siri voice commands, heads-up display and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Glanza comes with a range of connected car technology, which is offered through Toyota’s i-Connect platform.
Some of the key connectivity features include Remote Access and Control, Find My Car, Geo Fencing, Tow Alert, Auto Collision Notification, Vehicle Health Report and Malfunction Indicator.
Safety features in Glanza include 360° Surround View Camera, ABS/EBD, Brake Assist, Speed to Automatic Door Lock, High Speed Alert System, Rear Parking Sensor and Camera, Cruise Control, All Power Windows, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Huh. Apart from this, features like hill hold control, front, side and curtain airbags and immobilizer are included.
It will get 1197 cc engine. Like the Baleno, the Glanza is powered by a 1.2-litre, K-series motor that churns out 89 Bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and AMT. As per the type approval certificate, the Glanza CNG will have a power output of 57 kW (~76 bhp) at 6,000 rpm. It will only be offered with a manual transmission.
The Glanza CNG is 40 kg heavier than its petrol model. The overall weight of the Glanza CNG is 1,450 kg as compared to 1,410 kg for the Glanza petrol variant. This difference may be due to the extra weight of the CNG tank. The Toyota Glanza CNG variant could be costlier by around Rs 90,000 to Rs 1,00,000 as compared to its petrol-variant. The Glanza Petrol S, G and V variants are currently available for Rs 7.48 lakh, Rs 8.51 lakh and Rs 9.51 lakh respectively.
The demand for CNG cars is increasing continuously. In view of this, Glanza is being brought in CNG avatar. It has to be seen how expensive the company makes its price compared to the petrol model.
