In the last month of December 2022, a total of 1,603 units of Toyota Fortuner were sold, whereas if we talk about Mahindra Scorpio ( Mahindra Scorpio-N ), then its 7,003 units were sold. However, these include the sales figures of both the Scorpio Classic and the Scorpio-N. The company has so many bookings for the Scorpio-N that its waiting period is more than a year. In the first half an hour of starting its booking, the company got one lakh bookings.
Scorpio-N is more feature loaded
The Scorpio-N comes with a long list of features, including 8.0-inch infotainment system, 12-speaker Sony sound system, TPMS, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, Alexa support, 70+ connected car features, sunroof, wireless Android Auto and There are many features like Apple Car Play, 6 airbags, electronic brake-force distribution, ESC, roll-over mitigation.
Whereas, in terms of features, the Fortuner lags behind. It will probably be the only SUV in its segment, which does not get a sunroof. Even its top variant (which costs around 58 lakh on-road) does not get a sunroof. The SUV gets features like ventilated seats, an 11-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ESC, and a downhill assist.
