The number one WagonR has sold 188,838 units, registering an increase of 17.78% as compared to 160,330 units in FY 2021, keeping it at number one.
The second-ranked Swift has sold 167,827 units, registering a decline of 2.81% as against 172,671 units in FY 2021. Baleno is at number three, which has sold 146,183 units, which is a decline of 10.56% as compared to 163,445 units in the financial year 2021. This premium hatchback of the company is getting great response.
Baleno is at number four with 145,167 units sold which is a decline of 8.70% as compared to 158,992 units in FY 2021. The DZire has made the top 5 spot, in which 126,790 units have been sold, which is a decline of 1.14% as compared to 128,251 units in the financial year 2021. The company says that they are getting the benefit of CNG.
It is followed by Nexon of Tata Motors, which has sold 124,130 units, registering a growth of 94.69% as compared to 63,757 units in FY 2021. Hyundai Creta is at the seventh position and 118,092 units of this SUV of the company have been sold which is a decline of 1.62% as compared to 120,035 units in FY 2021. The Creta has got the benefit of being brought in a new avatar and is maintaining a good hold in its segment even after years and the company keeps updating it continuously.
After this, Maruti Ertiga has been in seventh place, which has sold 117,150 units, which has registered an increase of 32.27% as compared to 88,571 units in the financial year 2021. Maruti Brezza is at the seventh position with 113,711 units sold which is a decline of 20.16% as compared to 94,635 units in FY 2021.
The last position is followed by Maruti Eeco with 108,345 units sold, registering a growth of 3.11% as compared to 105,081 units in FY 2021. With Maruti Suzuki ruling the top 10 cars in the country and it continues to be so, it ends the fact that only SUVs are popular, with hatchbacks still holding their own at present.
