Sony’s online store on the popular JD.com site has confirmed a price cut for Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 IV, which has fallen in price by more than $100.
The phone went on sale in China on June 1 with a starting price of $1,235 for the 12GB RAM, 256GB storage version. It is available in three colors: Yeyan Black, Twilight Purple and Ice Mist White. The price has now been reduced to $1,105.
Key features of the Sony Xperia 1 IV include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, a 6.5-inch 4K AMOLED screen at 120Hz, and a 5000mAh battery with 30W wired charging support.
All three image sensors retained a resolution of 12 megapixels. The main camera is equipped with a 1/1.7-inch optical format sensor and a 24mm lens with optical image stabilization. The ultra wide-angle camera is equipped with a 1/2.5-inch optical sensor with a 16mm autofocus lens. The telephoto lens received a 1/3.5-inch optical format sensor with optical image stabilization and autofocus.
