Last week has been full of new launches for the auto world. While MG Motor launched the country’s smallest electric car Comet EV, Maruti has launched the Frons SUV. At the same time, Citroën has introduced its C3 Aircross model.
1. MG Comet EV Launch:
MG Motor has launched the Comet EV in India at a price of Rs 7,98,000. Its bookings are going to start from May 15 and the deliveries could start soon thereafter.
Its production has already started at the company’s Halol plant. The company claims that the cost of running 1000 km of Comet EV is just Rs 519. Two special editions of MG Comet EV – Gamer Edition and LIT Edition have been introduced.
2. Maruti Franks Launch:
Maruti has launched the Fronx SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 7,46,500 which goes all the way up to Rs 13,13,500 for the top model. Frox can be subscribed to Nexa by paying Rs 17,378 per month.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is made available in a choice of five variants – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. It has been brought with two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and has been given the option of manual, automatic gearbox.
3. Introducing the Citroën C3 Aircross:
Citroën has introduced the C3 Aircross in India and it will be launched in the next 3-4 months. It is based on the C3 model but comes with a slightly bigger size. It has also been built on the Cubed platform.
The car comes with a wheelbase of 2671 mm and measures 4.3 meters in length. At the same time, it comes with a ground clearance of 200 mm. It will be given 17-inch alloy wheels. Along with this, many customization options will also be given in the Citroën C3 Aircross.
4. Maruti Upcoming MPV:
Maruti is about to bring a new model in the premium segment in the Indian market and it is going to be a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Highcross. The Maruti version of the model will be named ‘Engage’ and the company has filed an application to register the name.
Maruti Suzuki’s Innova Highcross rebadged model is being brought under the Toyota Suzuki Global partnership. With the help of this both the companies have increased their existing product portfolio and are helping each other in technology.
