Autonews of the Day analyzed the current prices for new cars that operate in Russia on May 1 and compiled a rating of five models that can be purchased at prices up to 1.4 million rubles.
Even after the rise in price of Lada Granta remains the cheapest new car in Russia with a starting price of 692,300 rubles. Buyers receive a sedan in the basic Classic’22 configuration with a 1.6-liter petrol engine with 90 hp. and five-speed “mechanics”.
Lada Niva Legend for 821,900 rubles is the cheapest car in the category of crossovers and SUVs. The car is equipped with a 1.7-liter 83-horsepower engine, all-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission.
Lada Niva Travel takes the third place at a price of 1,042,900 rubles. The car is equipped with an 80-horsepower 1.7-liter engine, manual gearbox and all-wheel drive.
Lada Vesta of the previous generation can still be found at dealers at a price of 1,121,900 rubles. The car received a 106-horsepower 1.6-liter engine and a five-speed manual gearbox.
JAC S3 is new to this ranking. This is the cheapest crossover in Russia, which is available at a price of 1,399,000 rubles in the version with a 1.5-liter engine with 109 hp. and a six-speed manual transmission.
