To meet the growing demand, Hyundai is going to increase production in India, preparing to leave Tata Motors behind

Hyundai’s Indian plant is located at Sripermabadur outside Chennai and the company is about to increase production at this plant. As per Hyundai’s EV plan, 90% of the company’s EV vehicles will grow by the end of this decade. The company’s vehicles are getting great demand and production is being increased to meet it. The company will eliminate the problem happening in the supply chain.

Regarding electric vehicles, Hyundai said that the popularity of EVs is increasing due to the increase in fuel price and rising cost of ICE vehicles. In such a situation, more and more people are adopting electric vehicles. Along with this, the government is also promoting electric vehicles. At the same time, due to FAME and PLI, investment in EV production has increased.

The company is about to bring six new electric vehicles in India and for this an investment of Rs 4000 crore has been made. Hyundai is currently selling the Kona and the Kona facelift model is to be launched by the end of this year. The new Hyundai Kona Electric has also been spotted testing a few months back. The company is already selling the new Kona Electric in the international market and now preparations have started to bring it to India with many changes.

Hyundai Kona Electric will be brought after the company’s new electric vehicle Ionic 5. Hyundai Kona Electric was first introduced in July 2019, it is excellent in terms of range and features but due to which it has not been able to sell as much due to which it is outside the budget of the common customers. Talking about its changes, a new front grille will be seen in the new corner, which will give it a simple look from the front.

It will get thinner headlights, as well as less cladding in the side profile, apart from the rest will be kept the same. The new Kona Electric will come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with BlueLink connected technology, voice control, remote charging and climate control.
