How to Download Offline Google Maps
-Search the location maps you want to download on the search bar in the Google Maps app. Instead of entering a specific location, you’ll need to search for a larger place or city.
On tapping on the name of the location at the bottom of the screen, it will go full screen and offer additional options.
-In the top right corner, you will see three dots, tap on it to check additional option.
-From the pop-up menu, select Download offline map.
-Choose which area to download and Google Maps will show the exact area of the maps to be downloaded.
-Then press the download button, the download will start showing the progress bar on the screen. Once done, you can access the downloaded maps offline.
There are some things which should be kept in mind. Offline maps expire after about 15 days, apart from these maps, a lot of data and storage is consumed. Hence it is advised to go to Menu> Offline area> Settings> Storage performance and select SD card from device.
