Apple CEO Tim Cook, speaking at a press conference on the company’s financial success, made an interesting statement
Tim Cook told investors that consumers are willing to pay more for the best iPhone they can get, hinting that even more expensive models may be on the way.
It’s worth noting that Apple’s top-of-the-line smartphone that cost $1,150 in 2017 (iPhone X with 256GB of storage) is now $1,600 (iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1TB).
“I think people are willing to really go all out to get the best they can afford in this category,” Cook said, noting that the iPhone has become an integral part of people’s lives. Consumers now use the device to make payments, control smart home appliances, manage their health, and store banking data, he said.
The presentation of the iPhone 15 is expected in September of this year, while Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman believes that Apple is considering releasing a new model that will lead the entire iPhone lineup.
