The direct competition of this phone will be from OnePlus Nord 2T, Poco F4 5G, and iQoo Neo 6 present in the market. The price of Nothing Phone (1) starts at Rs.32,999. While the iQOO Neo 6 starts at Rs 29,999 and the Poco F4 starts at Rs 27,999. The price of OnePlus Nord 2T starts at Rs 28,999. There are also different storage variants of the phone which cost more. But Nothing Phone (1) is the most expensive for its base variant.
Nothing Phone (1) has a different design. It has a transparent back, thanks to the glass front and back, there is no plastic anywhere on the device. There’s also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and the frame is made entirely of recycled aluminum. More importantly, the back comes with a unique glyph interface that is made up of multiple LED lights. In this, the light flashes only on the basis of glyph interface notifications, calls, etc. If you need a phone for style statement then this phone is great.
The Poco F4 5G has a glass back with a matte finish and comes in Green and Black color options. The phone has a glass back, but the side frame is plastic. The OnePlus Nord 2T has a sleek finished glass back. It comes in Gray Shadow and Jade Fog colours. Its frame is plastic. iQoo Neo 6 has a completely plastic body. When it comes to design, Nothing Phone (1) tops it.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with Android 12 based NothingOS. It promises 3 years of system updates and 4 years of security patch updates every two months. The device gets an almost stock-like Android 12 feel without bloatware and minimal features.
Android 12 has been given in other phones. But companies’ skin has been given on them. There is FuntouchOS on the iQOO Neo 6, MIUI 13 with Poco Launcher on the Poco F4 and OxygenOS on the OnePlus Nord 2T. Whereas OxygenOS is a stock-like interface and a good combination of features. Both iQOO and OnePlus come with 2 years of system updates and three years of security patches. There is no specific update information on Poco F4 5G.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The company has said that Qualcomm has added wireless charging support for the chipset. Although the Snapdragon 778G+ is not the most powerful chipset in the segment, it will still provide a stable performance in the phone. MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chip has been given in OnePlus Nord 2T. It is also a good mid-range option.
However, if you want better performance then iQOO Neo 6 and Poco F4 are great. Both have Snapdragon 870 chipset the egg. Up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage have been given in all four phones. Nothing Phone (1), the OnePlus Nord 2T and the iQOO Neo 6 have an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the Poco F4 sports a side-mounted scanner. Nothing, OnePlus and Poco phones also have NFC support, which the iQOO Neo 6 doesn’t.
FHD + resolution AMOLED display panel is present in all four phones. These come in different sizes. Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch panel with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. OnePlus Nord 2T has a 6.43-inch screen with 90Hz refresh rate. iQOO Neo 6 has a 6.62-inch screen with 1300 nits brightness. The Poco F4 comes with the biggest screen of the four with a 6.67-inch panel. It has 120Hz refresh rate.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with a dual camera setup that includes two 50MP sensors. It has a main sensor with OIS and includes an ultrawide sensor. It also works as a macro camera. The OnePlus Nord 2T packs a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Similar 64MP + 8MP + 2MP setup has been given in Poco F4 as well. Similar setup is also there in iQOO Neo 6. Nothing Phone (1) and iQOO Neo 6 have a 16MP front sensor. Also, Poco F4 has a 20MP sensor and OnePlus Nord 2T 32MP sensor.
Nothing Phone (1) is backed by a 4500mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. The OnePlus Nord 2T packs a 4500mAh battery but supports 80W wired fast charging. Meanwhile, the Poco F4 packs a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. iQOO Neo 6 packs a massive 4700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. All three phones come with a charger in the box. While buying Nothing Phone (1), you will have to pay Rs 2,499 more. This price is for the charger of the phone.
