New Delhi. Apple Watches have a flashlight feature that turns the watch screen completely white. With this, users are able to see even in darkness. However, in future a separate flashlight can be seen in Apple’s Watch. Which will be very useful for the users. According to a patent received by Apple, the company is working on a device named ‘Modular Light Assembly for a Wearable Device’. It has been designed for integration with wearable devices. It can be externally connected to the housing and band of the smartwatch.
The patent shows what future Apple Watches might look like with an external flash attached to their bands. This flashlight can be considered more practical because users will be able to point it and use it like a torch. With this, users will not have to point the watch screen like now, whose range and brightness are also less.
Light will have its own power source
The most important thing will be that the modular light of this Apple Watch will have its own power source. In such a situation, there will be no effect on the battery of Apple Watch. Also, it can be turned on or off without interacting with Apple Watch. However, it is said in the patent that this modular light can also be controlled through Apple Watch.
This modular light can also be given IP rating. Because, the patent states, ‘The modular light assemblies described herein may include liquid resistant features, such as seals or O-rings, that prevent liquid from reaching sensitive components.’
The patent also shows that the modular light can be separated from the watch band. This light can be sold as a separate accessory for Apple Watch. Apple can also launch new bands for external torch.
