This person had completed Ratan Tata’s dream project, now is the company’s ‘ED’

Ratan Tata is one of the most famous Indian industrialists across the world. Everyone across the world admires Ratan Tata’s vision and his working methods. Yes, we are talking about Ratan Tata’s dream project Tata Nano. But have you ever wondered who were the people behind this car? Who was the person who designed this car? The name of that person is Girish Wagh. He was the one who designed Tata Nano. Today, apart from being the Executive Director of Tata Motors, he is also the Chairman of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles.

At present, Ratan Tata is using the electric version of Tata Nano and for a long time we have been hearing that Tata Nano will soon return to the market in a new avatar. Tata Motors has not officially given any details about the withdrawal of Tata Nano. Many people are waiting for the return of Tata Nano. This truck was also designed

Girish Wagh, who designed Ratan Tata’s dream car, is a native of Pune. He is a mechanical engineer from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and has a Masters in Manufacturing from Mumbai B-school SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. Before the Tata Nano, Wagh was known for designing the popular Tata Ace mini truck and was also a part of the Indica vendor development team in 1997. After the success of the Ace Truck, Ratan Tata and Ravi Kant decided to transfer Wagh to the small car project.

Tata Nano launched in 2008

Girish Wagh started working on Tata Nano with Justin Noreck (IDEA Institute), Pierre Castinel (Tata Design Studio). After spending a few years in research and development, Tata Motors launched the Tata Nano in 2008. Powered by a 2-cylinder engine, the Tata Nano was priced at Rs 1 lakh at the time of launch. Initially this car was successful in selling well but with time its sales declined and the company discontinued it.

At present Tata Nano is no longer officially available. People of the new generation praise the design of Ratan Tata and Girish Wagh for Tata Nano. Currently, Girish Wagh is working as the President of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles and Executive Director of Tata Motors. Whose market cap is more than Rs 2.64 lakh crore.
