What is SparkKitty virus
SparkKitty virus is a new and dangerous mobile malware (malware) specifically designed to target crypto wallet users. This virus can be active in both Android and iOS devices. SparkKitty accesses all photos of users. AI then recognizes text in photos from based OCR (Optical Character Recognition). If a photo contains crypto wallet’s seed frage (seed phrase) or personal data, sends it to hacker’s server. Hackers can then steal money by accessing users’ wallets with seed phrase.
How SparkKitty works
Crypto converter, chatting app or unofficial version of TikTok could reveal virus. Users think they’re installing new app on their smartphones. If users give permission to access the gallery after installing this app, then this virus becomes active. This malware first caught by Kaspersky’s research team.
