Google hosted an event in India today and announced some of the features that will be made available for Indians. These include some new search-related features, improved security for Google Pay users, and more.
The company also wants to help people solve bad handwriting from doctors. At the Google in India event in Delhi, the tech giant announced that AI will be used to decode doctor’s handwriting in doctor’s prescriptions. Google has also partnered with Apollo Hospitals.
Google will now read doctor’s handwriting
The search giant stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will help people identify and uncover drugs within handwritten prescriptions. The new feature will be available to users through Google Lens. People just need to click the picture of the prescription and then upload it to the photo library. Once done, the app will detect the prescription image and give the details of the medicines mentioned on the paper

The company has not yet revealed when it plans to release the feature to everyone. Google is saying that it is working with pharmacists to provide users with a better understanding of prescriptions. In the world, Google noted that Indians have mostly used Google Lens for various use cases.

Google also announced a collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to enable Indians to easily access their authentic digital documents, files directly through the Google app on Android. Google is making image search even better with the introduction of Multisearch to help you find information. MultiSearch is available in India in English, and will be available in several Indian languages over the next year, starting with Hindi.
