GPU-Z developers have released a new version of the application – GPU-Z 2.51.0. It has a function that, perhaps, will help explain the reasons for the melting of the connectors in the GeForce RTX 4090: the developers have implemented in the program the function of monitoring power parameters through the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector.
Nvidia itself believes that users are to blame for everything: supposedly they do not fully insert the power cable into the connectorhowever, there are already quite a few cases when contacts in video cards melted, where everything is connected as it should.
GPU-Z 2.51.0 brings many other new features. For example, the application now fully supports the GeForce RTX 4080 and 4090. In addition, support for a number of other video cards has been added to it: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory, RTX 3060 based on GPU GA104-B, MX750 A, mobile RTX A500, embedded RTX A4500, Tesla T10 and Quadro K5100M on GK104-B.
