iFixit got to the brand new iPhone 14 to take it apart and evaluate its repairability. And it turned out that in this matter, the new Apple is doing very well.
Despite the fact that the iPhone 14 is as similar to the iPhone 13 as possible, there are many changes inside, aimed, among other things, at improving maintainability. As a result, the novelty received seven points out of ten possible, and this is the best result since the iPhone 7. That is, the iPhone 14 is the best Apple smartphone in recent years in terms of maintainability.
Apple has completely redesigned the inside of the iPhone 14 to make it easier to repair. It’s not visible from the outside at all, but it’s important. This is the most significant iPhone design change in a long time.
Unfortunately, at least for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, this is no longer the case – they have an old internal design. Regarding the iPhone 14 Plus, there is nothing to say yet, since it is not yet on sale.
