This great feature has been dropped from the mid-spec variant of the Volkswagen Taigun, know the reason

According to the information, the company is going to remove the automatic climate control feature from the mid-spec Highline variant of the Volkswagen Taigun. Like Skoda, Volkswagen has also taken this step in view of the ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips, although the company has not given any information about it.

This is the first time that Volkswagen has made any changes to the existing list of features on offer for the Volkswagen Taigun. The Highline variant of the Volkswagen Taigun lies between the entry-level ‘Comfortline’ and the top-spec ‘Topline’ variants.

While earlier this variant was offered with a touch-control automatic climate control panel, it will now be replaced by a manual AC panel like the entry-level ‘Comfortline’ variant. Three round switches are provided in this panel for manual AC control.

Along with this, the attractive looking touch-sensitive automatic climate control panel is now made available only in the ‘Topline’ variant. Apart from this, Skoda Auto also removed the electrically foldable rearview mirror from the mid-spec Ambition variant of its Kushaq.

But speaking of Volkswagen, the company has continued to feature electrically foldable rearview mirrors in the Highline variant of its Volkswagen Taigun. Despite removing the automatic climate control feature, the company has not made any change in the price of the Volkswagen Taigun for the Highline variant.

While its manual variant is being sold at a price of Rs 13.00 lakh (ex-showroom), its automatic variant is being sold at a price of Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This car is being sold with Highline variants, Comfortline and Topline variants.

The company is selling this variant with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged TSI petrol engine. This engine provides maximum power of 115 bhp and maximum torque of 178 Newton meter. All three variants are offered standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Apart from this, the Highline and Topline variants are offered with an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. The car is also offered with the option of 1.5-litre TSI petrol, which churns out 150 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque.
