This bird copies the sounds of chainsaws, cameras and cars.



A distinctive feature of the animal is the ability to plausibly imitate the sounds surrounding it. And this applies not only to other living beings, but also to inanimate objects: the sound of a camera shutter, a motor-driven chainsaw and car alarms.

We will remind that earlier experts were openly concerned about the death of birds due to collisions with glass buildings. It was proposed to install “acoustic beacons” as one of the ways to avoid this. They are expected to emit white noise, thereby warning migratory birds of collisions with tall metal structures.
