New Delhi: India did its Kia Carens was launched in the Indian market last month on the 15th. Since then, it has got tremendous support from the customers. The demand for Kia Cars can be gauged from the fact that it has crossed the 50000 booking mark since its launch. It has been told by the company that there is equal demand for both its diesel and petrol models. Its top variant model has got 45 percent bookings. At the same time, its automatic variant accounts for 30 percent of the total bookings. According to the company, 60 percent of the bookings have come from Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

Kia Cars comes in 3 trims in the Indian market. These include 1353 cc GDi Petrol Smartstream G1.4 T-GDi, 1497 cc DPFi Petrol Smartstream G1.5 and 1493 cc CRDi VGT Petrol Smartstream G1.5. This car comes with both 6-seater and 7-seater options. In the Indian market, Kia Carens has a direct and tough competition from Hyundai Alcazar and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. In such a situation, the introduction of Kia Carens can be considered quite decent compared to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
