Hybrid Cars: At present, the popularity of strong hybrid cars is increasing very fast in the country. Recently, companies like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Honda Cars India have launched their new models in this segment. Honda Midsize SUV
Honda Motors is about to launch a new mid-size SUV in the country, but before that it is about to launch its global launch in May. The car is likely to get the e:HEV hybrid powertrain with a 1.5L iVTEC petrol engine and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle, which is also seen in the Honda City. The strong hybrid setup can generate 109bhp power and 253Nm torque. While the standard petrol engine can generate 121bhp power and 145Nm torque.
Nissan X-Trail Hybrid
The Nissan X-Trail is a new three row premium SUV, which will compete with the Toyota Fortuner. It can come in the market in the middle of 2023. This model will be built on the CMF-C platform of Renault-Nissan. It will get 1.5 liter turbo petrol with mild hybrid technology and 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with strong hybrid system. Which can generate outputs of 300Nm/ 163PS and 300Nm/204PS (2WD) and 525Nm/213PS (AWD) respectively. It will get features like ADAS, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, 10.8-inch HUD, electronic parking brake.

Maruti Suzuki will soon launch its 7-seater hybrid MPV, which will be a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Highcross. It can be offered by August 2023. This car will be the costliest offering from Maruti and will be sold through Nexa dealerships. Based on the monocoque TNGA-C platform, the new Maruti MPV will get a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle and a 2.0-litre NA petrol engine. Its mild hybrid setup will generate 184bhp power with e-drive transmission. While its petrol engine will get 172bhp power.
