1. Maruti Suzuki – 1,22,685 units
Maruti Suzuki’s sales numbers in June 2022 dipped slightly in terms of both YoY and MoM metrics. The year-on-year sales were down by 1.28 per cent or 1,595 units as compared to June 2021, when 1,24,280 cars were sold in the domestic market. The MoM number was also lower by 1.44 per cent or 1,789 units as compared to sales of 1,24,474 units in May 2022.

2. Hyundai – 49,001 units
Hyundai Motor enjoyed a good month of sales in June 2022 with a 21 per cent increase in its year-on-year numbers i.e. 8,505 units as compared to the same period last year. In June 2021, Hyundai sold 40,496 cars in the Indian market.

3. Tata Motors – 45,197 units
Despite losing the second position to Hyundai, Tata Motors recorded its best ever monthly sales numbers in June 2022. The year-on-year numbers stood at 87.46 per cent or 21,087 units as compared to June 2021, when the company sold only 24,110 units.

4. Mahindra – 26,880 Units
Mahindra launched the new Scorpio-N in June 2022. The year-on-year numbers for the Indian SUV maker registered a growth of 58.93 per cent i.e. 9,967 units in June 2022, when compared to the same period in 2021, it sold just 16,913 units.

5. Kia India – 24,024 units
June is the best month for Kia India in terms of sales numbers for the Indian market. The year-on-year numbers registered an increase of 60 per cent i.e. 9,009 units as compared to June 2021, when the company sold 15,015 cars in India. The MoM numbers also increased by 28.35 per cent or 5,306 units as compared to May 2022.
