In December 2021, the sales of vehicles have increased compared to the month of November, but these sales figures are still much worse than a year ago. Hyundai has performed the worst among all the big car companies while Tata has been able to deliver good performance. Maruti has registered a 12 per cent increase in monthly growth by selling an additional 13,294 units last month.

Maruti has emerged as the most popular brand in the last month of 2021. In this list, 8 out of 10 cars of the company have been included. There has been an improvement in the sales figures of all the models as compared to the month of November, but they have performed poorly as compared to December 2020.

Tata’s sales figure has grown significantly and the growing popularity of the company’s sub-4 meter SUV Nexon has helped it to become the fourth best selling brand. The sales figures of the company have increased twice as compared to the previous year.

Apart from this, the other brand that managed to make it to the top 10 with its sub-4 meter SUV car Venue is Hyundai. Its monthly sales figure has improved significantly with 10,360 units sold. The company sold more than 800 units of Venue less than the Maruti Vitara Brezza .

This is the first time that no compact SUV has made it to the list of top 10 best selling models.
