Economic Times quoted Jatinder Lal, Chief Financial Officer, Wipro, as saying, “Freshers were given both options and around 92% freshers have opted to join Wipro over the original offer.”
Wipro had given this offer to the freshers hired from the campus. While releasing the results of its March quarter, Wipro had given information about the decrease in the attrition rate of the company. IT company Wipro ‘s staff attrition rate has come down for the fourth consecutive quarter.
According to the figures till the March quarter, Wipro has a total of 2.56 lakh staff. This is 1823 staff less than in the December quarter. Wipro’s staff strength stood at 2.58 lakh in the December quarter. Wipro had 2.59 lakh staff at the end of the September quarter.
