It is one of the most awaited upcoming Maruti cars in the country. This lifestyle SUV from Maruti Suzuki has been given a 1.5 liter K15B aspirated petrol engine which generates power of 103bhp and torque of 134Nm. For transmission, it will come in 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options. The Jimny model lineup will come in Zeta and Alpha variants, which include a host of features including touchscreen SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, reverse camera, color MID display.

Maruti Suzuki’s new premium MPV
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a premium MPV based on the Innova Highcross in the coming times. This will be the costliest car in India from the Indo-Japanese automaker. The MPV will come with hybrid technology and will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Whereas, the strong hybrid setup will be capable of generating 206Nm of torque and 186PS of peak power. The upcoming Maruti MPV will be designed on Toyota’s monocoque TNGA-C platform. It will include features like ADAS, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, second row seats with ottoman function and Car Connect among others. This MPV can be launched by July 2023.

Maruti Suzuki is now all set to enter the premium 7-seater SUV segment. If reports are to be believed, the new Maruti Suzuki three-row SUV will be based on the Grand Vitara and will rival the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra XUV700. However, no announcement has been made at the official level regarding this car yet. It is expected to come with Toyota’s strong hybrid powertrain along with a naturally aspirated petrol engine. This means that it will get a 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle strong hybrid engine. This new SUV can be introduced in 2024 or 2025.

The Indo-Japanese carmaker is working on the new generation Swift. If reports are to be believed, the new model could make its global debut in mid-2023. After this, it can also be entered in India. Changes will be seen in the design and cabin of the 2024 Maruti Swift. The new car will be more robust and will be based on the HEARTECT platform, on which the new Baleno is based. This car will be given a 1.2 liter DualJet petrol engine, which will be equipped with manual and AMT gearbox. The new model will also be equipped with a factory-fitted CNG kit. If the new Swift comes with the 1.2L petrol Strong Hybrid, it can return up to 40 kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki is going to bring a lot of changes in the new Dzire. Along with the design, the new compact sedan will also get a completely new interior. The sedan will be based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform, which underpins the Baleno and Fronx. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota together will launch a new electric car in the Indian market by the year 2025. The first EV from Maruti Suzuki will be a midsize SUV and will measure around 4.2 meters in length. The Suzuki-Toyota JV is developing a different derivative of the 40PL platform, codenamed 27PL. The platform will be used to build a wide range series of family EVs starting from compact cars, MPVs or SUVs. The first Mrs. Electric SUV will be based on the 27PL. The battery pack in the electric car will be sourced from TDSG, which is a large scale battery making JV between Suzuki, Denso and Toshiba. Maruti Suzuki also showcased a prototype of the EV named EVX at the 2023 Auto Expo. The production version of the SUV is likely to arrive in early 2025. The concept was fitted with a 60kWh battery pack and was claimed to offer a range of 550km on a single charge.
