1. Hero Electric
Hero Electric was the largest selling company in July 2022. The company sold 8,953 units, a year-on-year growth of 108.05 per cent from 4,223 units sold in July 2021. The company’s share in the electric two-wheeler segment has increased from 17 per cent to 19.85 per cent. Hero Electric sold 6,504 units in June 2022. There has been a 37 percent increase in sales on a monthly basis.
After Hero, Okinawa has sold the largest number of e-scooters in India. Okinawa recorded sales of 8,093 units in July 2022. This is 213 per cent more than the 2,580 units sold in July 2021. On the other hand, sales have increased by 16 percent as compared to 6,984 units sold in June 2022.
Last month, Ampere became the third largest seller of electric scooters. The company sold 6,313 units in July 2022, an increase of 860 per cent as compared to 657 units sold in July 2021. The company’s share in the electric two-wheeler market increased from 15.88 per cent to 17.38 per cent.
4. TVS Motor
TVS Motor sold 4,258 units of electric two-wheelers in July 2022, registering an increase of 557 per cent as compared to 648 units sold in July 2021. TVS Motor sold 1,946 units in June 2022, registering a monthly growth of 119 per cent.
5. Ola Electric
In July 2022, Ola Electric sales stood at 3,859 units with a share of 9.7 per cent. Compared to 5,892 units sold in June 2022, Ola’s electric scooter sold 34.5 percent less. Ola is all set to launch the Move OS 3 for the S1 Pro electric scooter, which is slated to launch by Diwali. It includes many high-tech features like Hill Hold Control, Hyper Charging, Proximity Unlock.
6. Bajaj Chetak
Sales of Bajaj Chetak electric scooter increased to 2,433 units in July 2022. This is 234 per cent and 35 per cent higher than the 728 units sold in July 2021 and 1,798 units sold in June 2022, respectively.
Sales of Revolt Motors, with 2,317 units sold last month, stood at 630 per cent higher than 317 units sold in July 2021. However, the sales were down by 4.4 per cent as compared to 2,424 units sold in June 2022.
8. Ather Energy
Ather’s annual sales declined by 28 per cent to just 1,286 units in July 2022. The company’s sales in July 2021 were 1,799 units, in June 2022 the company sold 3,830 units. Ather recently launched the 450X Gen 3 electric scooter and one of its major rivals is the TVS iQube which was updated this year as well.
Benling scooter sales grew 21.69 per cent to 1,167 units in July 2022. The company had sold 959 units in June 2022. The company sold 208 more electric scooters as of June 2022.
Okaya recorded sales of 1,076 units in July 2022. At the same time, in June 2022, the company sold 760 units. The company’s sales were 41.58 percent higher in July as compared to June.
