Representatives of AvtoVAZ official dealer centers confirmed that there were almost no new Lada cars with automatic transmission left in Russian car dealerships.
Only a few cars with automatic gearboxes remained in Lada car dealerships, including traditional “automatic machines”, Jatco CVTs, as well as with AMT branded VAZ robot, supplemented by German ZF actuators.
There are no automatic cars and never will be. This situation will last a year, maybe two. I am 99% sure that in a couple of months you will not find a Lada with an “automatic” at all.
Manager of the Lada dealership in Togliatti
An employee of another metropolitan car dealership confirmed that the plant is now standing, there are no components. “Then AvtoVAZ will produce those models for which there are enough parts. These are Granta and Vesta in basic configurations. It’s generally a problem with “automatic machines”, there won’t be any, there are Japanese Jatcos there.”
So for the foreseeable future, Lada buyers will have to be content with cars with a manual transmission.
