Union Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal said on National Education Policy 20-20 in the National Seminar on “Higher Education through Indian Language Medium: Challenges and Opportunities” organized by Indian Language Committee, Ministry of Education and Central University of Rajasthan. There should be three H’s for In this, first H is head i.e. intelligence, second H is heart i.e. sanskar and third H is hand i.e. employment. The new education policy fulfills all these three objectives.
Rajasthani language should be included in the eighth list
In the “Higher Education through Indian Language Medium: Challenges and Prospects” organized by the Ministry of Education and Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer MP Bhagirath Chowdhary talked about inclusion of Rajasthani language in the eighth list. On this Union Minister Meghwal said that Rajasthani language is close to recognition and it will be resolved soon. On the other hand, Professor Rajneesh Arora, director of English and Foreign Language University Regional Council, Lucknow, said that there is a need to change the thinking and attitude towards the mother tongue. Whereas, Vice-Chancellor Professor Anand Bhale Rao said that language is the basis of education. If there is no language then the system of education is also not possible.

Promotion of adult education in new education policy
The National Education Policy (NEP 2020) has proposed several measures to promote adult education, including conducting certification exams for those who have dropped out of the formal education system. Under this policy, continuing education centers for adults and adult education programs are also being established. NEP 2020 lays emphasis on adult education and its main objective is to provide opportunities to adults to upgrade their skills and knowledge, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of the country.
