Zalman introduced a series of liquid cooling processor systems Alpha. The series includes three models with different radiator sizes: Alpha 36 (360 x 120 mm), Alpha 28 (280 x 140 mm) and Alpha 24 (240 x 120 mm). Each bottom is available in black and white. A common feature of these LSSs is the new pump.
This is Zalman’s own development. The coolant in it is distributed in three independent flows. This is said to prevent pump overload and improve cooling by reducing residual fluid in the pump.
The base of the water block is made of copper. On its inner side, there are microchannels formed by ribs 0.15 mm wide. The built-in controller controls the rotation speed of the fans mounted on the radiators. The pump cover is decorated with an addressable backlight.
The Alpha 24 and Alpha 36 radiators are fitted with 120mm fans. Their rotation speed is controlled by PWM in the range of 500-1800 rpm. The maximum speed corresponds to a static pressure of 1.9 mm of water column and a noise level of 33 dBA. The Alpha 28 heatsink has 140mm fans. Their rotation speed is adjustable in the range of 500-1600 rpm. The maximum speed corresponds to a static pressure of 1.7 mm of water column and a noise level of 34 dBA.
The list of supported connectors includes LGA1700, LGA1200 and AM4. The manufacturer does not name prices.
