The world’s first smartphone with an always-on display at a frequency of 1 Hz was shown live a couple of hours before the announcement

OnePlus will unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone today, the OnePlus 10 Pro, and so far the manufacturer has posted a video that demonstrates the adaptive refresh rate system.

Recall OnePlus 10 Pro features Samsung LTPO 2.0 displaywhich offers 2K + screen resolution and up to 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. In addition, this phone is touted as the world’s first 1 Hz always-on display.

Pete Lau, CEO and co-founder of OnePlus, called his company “a leader in the display industry.” He added that OnePlus will be the first company to offer the new Samsung Display panel.

The smartphone will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system, a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, 50W AirVOOC wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The second-generation Hasselblad main camera will use 48, 50 and 8 megapixel image sensors, while the front camera will be 32 megapixels.
