Tata New CNG And Electric Car: People have now started liking CNG and electric cars very much and people have also started buying them. However, electric cars are costlier, so people tend to focus more on CNG cars as they are comparatively less expensive and come with better fuel efficiency. Tata Motors is looking to expand its CNG and electric car portfolio and is all set to launch CNG and electric variants of its best-selling micro SUV Punch as well as Altroz ​​hatchback this year.
Punch CNG and Altroz ​​CNG
At the Auto Expo this year, Tata Motors introduced the CNG variants of the Punch and Altroz, which were fitted with dual CNG cylinders. The company says that the CNG variants of Punch and Altroz ​​will get a lot of boot space. Both these cars will get a factory fitted CNG kit along with the 1.2L petrol engine, which will churn out 77 PS of power and 95Nm of peak torque. A 5 speed manual gearbox will be seen in these CNG cars. According to media reports, the mileage of Punch CNG and Altroz ​​CNG can be up to 30 km per kg. In terms of features, these CNG cars will be similar to their petrol variants. 

When will the Punch EV and Altroz ​​EV arrive?
There is a good demand for entry level and budget cars in the Indian market and in such a situation car companies are also preparing to bet on affordable electric cars. Tata Motors is going to introduce electric variants of its Punch and Altroz ​​in the coming times. People have been waiting for both these electric cars for a long time. It is believed that the Punch EV and Altroz ​​EV will be introduced with the company’s Ziptron technology and will have a powerful battery, which can have a range of up to 300 kilometers on a single charge. Punch EV and Altroz ​​EV can be introduced in the price range of more than Rs 10 lakh.
