Samsung has updated its proprietary Expert RAW application, it has support for three new models – Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold2. Initially, Samsung planned to release Expert RAW for these phones in the first half of the year, but then the plan was adjusted.
The company notes that photo quality and the time it takes to capture or process a photo may differ from more current flagships due to the fact that older phones do not offer the same high performance as more modern models.
The Expert RAW application, recall, supports HDR with the ability to save images in lossless JPEG and 16-bit linear DNG RAW formats. Integration with Adobe Lightroom is also supported, with the ability to open RAW files directly in an image-editing application using a switch in the camera.
