The profile automotive “Auto News of the Day” published a rating of the five cheapest cars in Russia as of the beginning of 2023, after analyzing the current prices on the market.
The leader in this rating is Lada Granta, AvtoVAZ’s best-selling car. A simplified version of the Classic’22 at a price of 678,300 rubles is equipped with a 90-horsepower engine and manual transmission.
The Russian SUV Lada Niva Legend with all-wheel drive, an 83-horsepower engine and a manual gearbox costs from 808,900 rubles in the Classic’22 package.
Lada Niva Travel costs from 998,900 rubles, this more modern all-wheel drive SUV received a 1.7-liter engine with 80 hp, manual transmission, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors.
Lada XRay cars are no longer produced, but a certain amount still remains with dealers. With a price of 1,106,900 rubles for the Standard package, the car takes fourth place, offering a 106-horsepower engine and manual transmission, as well as two airbags and LED daytime running lights.
The AvtoVAZ flagship sedan, Lada Vesta, which is equipped with the same engine as the Lada XRay, closes the top five. At a price of 1,121,900 rubles, a version with two pillows, side mirrors with electric drive and heating is offered.
