The network has fresh data on when AMD will release a series of Ryzen 7000 processors. During a Q&A session about the company’s earnings for the current year, AMD CEO Lisa Su hinted that they should be expected in the current quarter. And now network sources have specified the date. AMD Ryzen 7000 is reported to be announced on August 29, 2022.
The embargo on publishing reviews will be lifted on September 13th, so you will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out how successful the new processors are, and sales will start on September 15th. At the same time, motherboards based on X670 chipsets will go on sale.
Judging by previous leaks, the following processors are expected at launch:
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
All of them will receive socket AM5 support, Zen 4 architecture and 5 nm process technology. The number of cores and threads varies from 6/12 for the younger model to 16/32 for the older one. At the same time, the most powerful versions will consume up to 170 W and will be able to operate at a frequency of more than 5.0 GHz. Prices not yet known
