The Night Eagle 4X2 Diesel MT variant of the Compass SUV has seen the least increase of Rs 15,000, while the highest increase of Rs 1.80 lakh has been made in the Sport 4X2 Petrol MT. Now the new price of Jeep Compass starts at Rs 21.09 Lakh and goes up to Rs 32.67 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The company had last increased the price of the Compass by Rs 90,000 in September 2022. This SUV has been made available in 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines. The SUV is available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive with manual and automatic (DCT) gearboxes.
Its 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine generates 163 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The option of 7-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox is available with this engine. On the other hand, the 2.0 liter diesel engine generates 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. This engine is available with the option of 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Only the higher variants of its diesel trims get a four-wheel drive powertrain. In India, the Jeep Compass competes against the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson and the Citron C5 SUV.
Jeep is going to launch the new generation Grand Cherokee SUV in India very soon. The company is manufacturing this SUV at its plant in Ranjangaon (Pune). The company will not launch the three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L in India. Talking about the interior features, the new Grand Cherokee gets a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, a digital driver display and a dedicated touchscreen for the front seat passenger as well.
The company has also confirmed that the new SUV will be equipped with ADAS technology. The ADAS system includes safety features such as full-speed forward collision warning, pedestrian emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot and cross path detection, passive pedestrian protection, dry driver detection, active lane management system and intersection collision assist system. Features will be included. The new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee can be launched at a price of Rs 75-80 lakh (ex-showroom).
