Representatives of authorized Samsung stores in China have begun to receive notifications about the rules for using Galaxy AI, a package of AI functions for the new Samsung flagships. The text of the letter indicates the cost of the subscription, as well as the start date of pricing.
According to Gizmochina, users who purchase a Galaxy S24 series device before July 30 and register for the program will be able to use all AI features for free for 7 days. For further access to an expanded set of gadget features, you will need to sign up for a paid subscription costing $16 per year or $2 per month.
It is reported that so far only functions that work directly on the smartphone have received paid status. Server services like Live Translate, as well as services from Meitu and Baidu, have not yet been affected by the innovation. The manufacturer has not yet officially announced what the final list of paid AI functions on Galaxy smartphones will be.
