The analytical portal Statcounter published statistics on the prevalence of mobile and desktop browsers based on the results of March 2024. This time there were no surprises: the permanent leader is still in no hurry to give up his position.
Google Chrome remained number one on PCs, installed on 65.77% of “surveyed” devices. Microsoft Edge took second place with 12.7%, third place went to Apple Safari (8.63%). Next on the list are Mozilla Firefox (6.61%) and Opera (3.16%).
In the mobile segment, with the exception of the leader, the situation is noticeably different:
- Google Chrome — 65,29%
- Apple Safari — 24,26%
- Samsung Internet — 4,41%
- Opera — 2,2%
- UC Browser — 1,44%
In the mobile market, Edge’s share is only 0.3%. Microsoft is currently working on supporting extensions for this version of the browser – perhaps this will help the application improve its position.
