The new Intel desktop CPUs will have a maximum of six large cores. The Meteor Lake-S line will still be released

Intel will probably still release Meteor Lake desktop processors. At least information about CPU data has been seen in the latest Linux patch.

There are no details about the processors themselves, but recent leaks have indicated that Intel may be resorting to a very unusual split: desktop Meteor Lake will only be available as CPUs with TDP 35 and 65W and only up to Core i5 models, while more performance solutions will be released as part of the Arrow Lake line.

At the same time, we recall that in general, Intel promises to release Meteor Lake before the end of this year, but Raptor Lake Refresh should also be released in the fall. Thus, it is possible that Intel will release only mobile Meteor Lake this year, and desktop ones will be released sometime in 2024 at about the same time as Arrow Lake and together form a single line.

Recall that Meteor Lake will receive a maximum of six large cores, but they are credited with a very productive iGPU, which can even bypass the Radeon 780M.
