Advantech unveiled AIMB-522 motherboard with unseen Ryzen Embedded 5000 embedded processors.
The motherboard itself is not of particular interest, but the CPUs are curious. If usually embedded CPUs are based on mobile devices and are noticeably inferior to desktop ones in all respects, then the Ryzen Embedded 5000 almost in everything corresponds to the usual consumer Ryzen 5000.
In total, the line includes four processors: Ryzen 5950E, Ryzen 5900E, Ryzen 5800E and Ryzen 5600E. At the same time, the younger two are almost identical to consumer counterparts, and the older two offer slightly fewer cores.
As you can see, the Ryzen 5950E has 12 cores versus 16 for the Ryzen 9 5950X. The Ryzen 5900E already has only two fewer cores than the Ryzen 9 5900X. But the base frequencies for older CPUs are exactly the same, although the maximum ones are not indicated.
The names of the CPUs are also valid here, as these are processors based on the Zen 3 architecture.
