The authors of the study found that smartphone owners often stop using or delete the application for approximately the same reasons. Most of all people are annoyed by the registration process. More than half of users of applications for purchasing goods (52%) expressed their dissatisfaction with the amount of information they ask for when registering. Also, 89% of respondents reported that they will remove the financial application if the registration procedure takes longer than 15 minutes.
Also, people are annoyed by the requirement to enter additional information that seems inappropriate. Reject requests to access a camera, microphone, or location. 48% of users of financial applications and 38% of those in retail have even removed the program because of this.
