WCCFTech has published details on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 mobile GPUs. The TGP (Total Graphics Power) of the top 3D accelerator, RTX 4090, will reportedly be 175W (150W plus 25W in Dynamic Boost mode), and the frequency will vary in range from 1.59 to 2.04 GHz.
GeForce RTX 4080 will consume the same amount. The GPU will operate at frequencies from 1.86 to 2.28 GHz and a TDP of 150W (or 175W in Dynamic Boost mode).
The consumption of the GeForce RTX 4070 in the base was 115 W and 140 W in Dynamic Boost mode. GPU frequency – 2.07 – 2.17 GHz.
The GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 are similar in terms of power consumption: it will vary widely from 85 to 140 watts. And this is exactly the case when a laptop (especially if you plan to play games on it) will need to be chosen very carefully, paying close attention to the GPU parameters and cooling system capabilities. There is no data on the frequency of the GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, but there is data on the frequency of the younger model – it will be 2.37 GHz. And this will be the highest GPU frequency of mobile GeForce RTX 40.
Ada Lovelace mobile GPUs are expected to debut at Nvidia’s official CES 2023 event on January 3rd. Laptops with GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 will go on sale in early February, with GeForce RTX 4070 in late February.
