The main innovation of AirPods Pro 2 is now offered to be turned off: touch volume control was not to everyone’s liking

In the iOS 16.1 beta, Apple has made it possible to turn off touch volume controls on the new AirPods Pro 2 true wireless earbuds.

Recall that this is one of the main innovations of the headphones: users can use the AirPods Pro 2 touch controls not only to control media playback, but also to adjust the volume.

While some users find this feature handy, others have a different opinion. iOS 16.1 beta has a new toggle on the Accessibility page to enable or disable touch volume controls. As before, users can customize the long press feature on AirPods Pro 2, including enabling active noise cancellation, transparency mode, turning it off, or invoking Siri.

AirPods Pro 2 features a new H2 chip, longer battery life, a new charging case, and a new earbud size to better fit the wearer’s ear. Users can charge AirPods Pro using the Apple Watch charger, MagSafe chargers, Qi-certified chargers are also compatible.

Apple’s flagship noise-canceling AirPods Pro 2 wireless headphones went on sale last Friday, and now first users report problems.
