GeForce RTX 4080 lit up in 3DMark, despite the fact that we don’t have the RTX 4090 result yet.
In FireStrike Extreme and TimeSpy Extreme, Nvidia’s new card scored 17,465 and 13,977 respectively, making it the highest-performing adapter in these tests. Of course, the RTX 4090 will be faster, but there are no results yet.
In comparison, the RTX 3090 Ti is about 20% slower, and the RTX 3080 scores around 11600 and 9400 points in the same tests, meaning the card offers roughly 67% of the performance of the RTX 4080.
It is worth noting that in this case we are talking about the RTX 4080 with 16 GB of memory. This version, we recall, also has more CUDA cores and a wider memory bus. It is likely that the RTX 4080 12GB at least in 3DMark will perform approximately at the level of the RTX 3090 Ti.
