The French company Ascendance Flight Technologies has unveiled the concept of a hybrid electric aircraft with a range of over 400 kilometers. The car looks unusual.
The aircraft, named ATEA, turned out to be five-seater. It has two T-shaped tail wings. The strangest part from a design standpoint is its wings. They have eight built-in fans. Also, two propellers are installed in the nose and tail of the aircraft. Thanks to this, the device can carry out both horizontal and vertical flight.
ATEA is designed for city and regional flights. In addition, it can be used for rescue and logistics operations as well as surveillance.
The developers plan to test a prototype aircraft in 2023. ATEA production is due to start in 2025.
