Geely has certified a new BHE15 engine for the fourth-generation Emgrand budget sedan in China. It has the same volume of 1.5 liters as the predecessor JC-4G15B, but more power: 126 hp. against 114 hp That is, with a smaller volume, this new naturally aspirated engine is more powerful than the 1.8-liter 16-valve engine in the Lada Vesta.
Recall that everything goes to the fact that in Belarus next year they will start production of the new Emgrand, and it is possible that immediately and with a new engine. The car, of course, will be delivered to the Russian Federation.
