“The fastest gaming processors” will remain without the possibility of overclocking. AMD decided not to experiment with Ryzen 7000X3D

Processors Ryzen 7000X3Dwhich AMD introduced tonight, it seems, like the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, will not support manual overclocking.

AMD has said that the new CPUs will get various optimizations for running at maximum performance that can be activated from the system (for example, PBO), but it seems that manual overclocking is out of the question again.

AMD itself recommends using the Curve Optimizer feature, which itself will adjust the characteristics of the CPU, but this is still not what users who are used to overclocking their processors would like.

Previously, AMD explained the lack of overclocking support for the ryzen 7 5800X3D processor with the additional 3D V-Cache memory, which may react negatively to such manipulations. In the new generation, a much higher voltage was added to this (it was increased from 1.1 V to 1.4 V).

In addition to this, it was said that Microsoft and AMD are already working on optimizing Windows 11 for new CPUs. This is important as the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D are unique processors. And it’s not just that they have additional V-Cache crystals. These are the first processors of their kind to be configured with unequal chiplets. Firstly, one of the chiplets is interfaced with V-Cache memory, and secondly, the same chiplet operates at lower frequencies than the second one.
