Apple is expected to release not only the Apple Watch Series 8 this year, but also the first rugged watch called the Apple Watch Pro.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the upcoming Apple Watch Pro will have an updated design, while they will abandon the familiar rectangular design that is branded for Apple smartwatches.
The source said that the watch will receive an enlarged screen (by 7%), because of which they will not be suitable for everyone. Mark Gurman claims that the enlarged gadget will be available only to some users.
In terms of shape change, the design of the new smartwatch is neither round nor square. Mark Gurman describes the new Apple Watch Pro design as an evolution of the current rectangular shape.
To make the wearable device durable, the company opted for a more durable titanium alloy. Along with some advanced health and fitness related features, the device is expected to have longer battery life. They will be able to work for several days without recharging using the new low power mode.
The watch will be presented in September this year along with the iPhone 14.
