Auto Price experts have calculated the cost of maintaining the Kia Rio, the most popular foreign car in Russia. The main cost items for a car per month and for 5 years of ownership were taken into account, provided that the mileage for these 5 years is 100 thousand km, and the region of operation is Moscow and the Moscow region.
The calculations were carried out for the Kia Rio sedan with a base 1.4-liter engine with 100 hp. and “mechanics”, as well as the Kia Rio X cross-hatchback with a 1.6-liter engine with 123 hp. and “automatic”. Calculations showed that 1 km of run on these cars costs 8 rubles 80 kopecks and 10 rubles 70 kopecks, respectively.
For a month of ownership, the total costs will be about 15 thousand rubles for a sedan and about 18 thousand rubles for a cross-hatchback, and for 5 years the amount will be about 900 thousand and more than 1 million rubles, respectively.
More than 40% will go to CASCO insurance, another 37-39% will be occupied by fuel costs, and 14% will have to be paid for scheduled maintenance. Buying winter tires and paying transport tax will cost only 6-7% of the total costs.
Currently, prices for the Rio sedan start at 1,434,900 rubles, and the Rio X cross-hatchback costs from 1,574,900 rubles.
